Unitemps welcomes Teesside University to its Franchise Network as it becomes the nineteenth branch to operate across the UK.
Located within Middlesbrough on the ground floor of the Student Life Building at Teesside University, the branch will help students gain part-time or full-time work experience in a range of sectors for example, engineering, events, retail, sports, education, and IT roles. Supporting students in finding flexible work that fits around their studies.
Katie Kendall, Unitemps Teesside Branch Manager, shares her thoughts on the advantages of opening a Unitemps branch:
“We are so excited to be launching our Unitemps branch at Teesside University, which will be an extension of the offering and support we currently provide through our Student Futures team. Working in collaboration, we know that we can enhance student experience, provide job opportunities, and develop work and employability skills. We are looking forward to supporting internal teams with quality candidates, alongside a flexible and understanding approach. The branch will reduce lengthy administrative tasks for hiring managers and grow the number of students in employment. Get in touch with us on Unitemps@tees.ac.uk”.
Rosie Jones, Director of Student & Library Services Teesside, explains how Unitemps will benefit students: “We are delighted to welcome Unitemps into our Student Futures portfolio of opportunities. Our new branch will provide support to students who are seeking part-time employment to develop their professional skillset and acquire relevant experience that aligns to their studies. Based in our Student Life Building in the heart of campus they will collaborate with colleagues in Student Futures and across the University to offer a holistic, multi-faceted support to students, equipping them ready for the future.”
Professor Craig Gaskell, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Enterprise and Knowledge Exchange) at Teesside University talked about how joining the Unitemps Franchise Network is a great addition to the university’s existing employment services: “Incorporating Unitemps as part of Teesside University further enhances the employment support offer for our students and provides temporary workforce solutions to local businesses, providing a new mechanism for businesses to access student talent flexibly, when they need it. Our existing Student Futures team already provides an excellent and comprehensive service to support students in finding employment and the addition of Unitemps adds to this.”
James Mathers, Unitemps Franchise Relationship Manager, commented: “Having had the pleasure of visiting the university on number of occasions and been able to work in collaboration with the wider Teesside University team, it’s clear to see just how much potential the Unitemps branch has in having a significant impact on the wider student experience, graduate outcomes and the local Teesside economy. We can’t wait to work closely with Katie and Adam in establishing Unitemps as one of the best recruiters in the North East.”
