We are delighted to announce Nottingham Trent University has joined the Unitemps franchise network.
Unitemps Nottingham Trent will offer a wide range of part-time temporary work opportunities to the students at the University helping students support themselves financially, develop skills, gain experience and enhance their employability outcomes.
Paul Brewster, Director of Warwick Employment Group, comments:
“We are extremely pleased that Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has chosen to join the Unitemps network. NTU’s desire to provide greater, on campus, working opportunities is in line with Unitemps student-centric ethos and our long-term aim of creating a network of Unitemps offices that provide work opportunities for students all over the world. Our team is looking forward to supporting their Unitemps launch and beyond, working closely together to realise NTU’s aims.”
David Eade, Director of Employability & Enterprise at Nottingham Trent University, commented:
“We have already made a significant investment in the Employability agenda at Nottingham Trent and having committed to requiring every student to have an assessed work experience during their period of study, we were looking to maximize suitable opportunities for students. In parallel, momentum was growing behind seeking solutions to ease the financial pressures some of our students experience when coming to university; a significant percentage of our students come from lower socio-economic backgrounds and for them, paid employment is a necessity if they are to complete their studies. An internal temp agency in the form of Unitemps provided an ‘off the shelf’ solution in which we could be confident about integration into our existing systems and provided the necessary reassurance to Student visas and other compliance issues. Implementation has taken only a few weeks and I am delighted we were able to open our doors for business at the start of the 2017/18 academic year. I am also pleased to report that the response from students has been hugely positive with candidate registrations far beyond our initial expectations.”
The Nottingham Trent Unitemps branch is now open for business in the JobShop across its campuses and is supported by the comprehensive online service www.unitemps.com, where students can register to seek work experience and job opportunities.
Unitemps Nottingham Trent will be open from Monday 18th September 2017.
