On Thursday 12th September 2024, over a hundred staff members from across nineteen branches gathered together at The University of Warwick for the Unitemps Annual Conference 2024.
The event centred around a 90’s theme due to Unitemps being founded by Warwick in 1997. Attendees took part in networking and compliance sessions followed by a meal and awards ceremony with a band playing 90’s music in the evening.
It was a pleasure to welcome Gloucestershire University and our newest Unitemps franchise to join the network, Unitemps Teesside University, which opened three days after the conference on Monday 16th September 2024, ready for the new academic year.
It was great to see everyone celebrating the continued growth and success of Unitemps, with each branch contributing to the £81 million turnover in the last 12 months, over 95,000 assignments completed, placing over 76,000 candidates into jobs and paying out £61 million in wages to Unitemps workers.
Recognising the hard work of our branches, whose dedication has helped us to achieve these results, and reflecting on the latest developments, plenty of awards and certificates were given out during the ceremony. A huge congratulations to everyone, runners up and the notable winners:
• Liverpool John Moores University – Branch of the Year 2024
• UCL Team – Outstanding Contribution Award
• Saskia Hampton (Heriot-Watt University) – Newcomer of the Year

Hanna Roman, Unitemps Franchise Relationship Manager, said: “This year’s 2024 Unitemps Annual Conference was driven by network feedback requesting more Compliance information and the opportunity to network with other branches. The positive atmosphere throughout the day was palpable with so much enthusiasm, participation and lots of laughter bringing colleagues from far and wide together as a collective. The Dynamics band added a real sense of occasion to the awards ceremony and certainly filled the dancefloor late into the evening!
As the network continues to grow, we hope this event provided the opportunity to experience firsthand that not only are you supporting your individual universities, but you are a vital part of something so much bigger as the Unitemps network empowers students and graduates throughout the UK. We can’t wait to celebrate your successes with you again next year!“
