At Unitemps we operate as part of an integrated family of specialist recruitment services for higher education called Warwick Employment Group (WEG). All of the services work with the same ethos: Of the sector, for the sector. As well as mirroring the higher education sector by operating a community, quality and ethical approach.
Our sister service, jobs.ac.uk, the leading global recruitment website for higher education, have recently launched a new specialist job board for the further education sector – college.jobs.ac.uk. This exciting new development will help further education providers to meet the challenge of quickly and cost-effectively recruiting talented teachers, leaders, lecturers and support staff at a time when recruitment budgets and resources are under considerable pressure.
college.jobs.ac.uk was inspired by feedback from the FE providers and jobseekers who currently use jobs.ac.uk and wanted a dedicated source of careers and specialist advice that was 100% focused on further education. A new way for FE providers and professionals to connect with each other, this new recruitment channel brings together innovative and powerful new job board technology with jobs.ac.uk’s educational expertise spanning over 17 years.
Jobseekers can quickly search the latest FE vacancies from UK colleges and other FE providers and also apply for jobs on the go, whether they’re using a tablet, laptop or smartphone. Thanks to a range of tools, recruiters can quickly post jobs online and effectively monitor applications through a built-in candidate management system while jobseekers can easily apply, sign up for email job alerts and save CVs and job searches.
Like Unitemps, jobs.ac.uk is a trusted brand that was launched by The University of Warwick. Their established team has a very good understanding of the world of education and the challenges facing FE providers. Passionate about helping to make UK education world-class, they hope college.jobs.ac.uk will support further education providers and help them excel by attracting top talent locally, nationally and beyond. Through a series of articles and careers advice by leading experts, they also aim to attract new talent into the FE sector to support the Government’s FE workforce strategy and also help jobseekers to develop and progress their careers within further education.
FE colleges have advertised their jobs on the jobs.ac.uk job board since 1998 and the site is already trusted by 287 further education colleges and more than 77,000 FE jobseekers. college.jobs.ac.uk heralds a new beginning, providing a dedicated new home for further education jobs.
“This is a really exciting time for jobs.ac.uk. We hope the launch of college.jobs.ac.uk will help further education providers across the UK to lead the way globally by quickly and cost-effectively attracting the high quality teachers, leaders, lecturers and support staff they need to deliver learning excellence today and tomorrow,” added jobs.ac.uk, Director, Nick Brian.
