After more than a year’s worth of planning, Unitemps was officially launched on campus at De Montfort University (DMU) on Thursday 18th October, with the office opened by DMU’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Dominic Shallard.
The launch event was a huge success and the speeches, delivered by Professor Dominic Shellard, Unitemps Director Paul Brewster and DMU’s Head of Careers and Employability Lucy Madahar, were inspirational and reflected the hard work that has gone into establishing Unitemps on campus, with particular praise being directed towards Andy Downton, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Teaching and Learning at DMU, and Stuart Marriott, DMU’s Employer Development Manager.
Although Unitemps has just officially launched at DMU, the office has been operational for nearly a month and the team have already established a growing presence around the University, filled many temporary jobs on campus, registered nearly 1000 candidates, and they’ve even tweeted about their journey every step of the way.
The Unitemps office at DMU is located in the Student Gateway in Gateway House and is open Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm.
